Award-winning group, hob salons, together with first-time franchisee Craig Mason, have opened a haven of hairdressing and beauty in the centre of St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Craig, who is a senior educator at hob salons and has been an integral member of the hob artistic team since 2005, will be taking his first step into running his own salon after 24 years in the industry.

With a strong background in editorial work, styling for publications such as Vogue, Harpers Bizarre, Elle, GQ and Arena, Craig is well established in the hairdressing industry and has worked backstage for designer greats such as Gucci, Prada, Versace, Alexandra McQueen, Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.

In a former role as International Artistic Director for Toni & Guy, Craig has twice secured the title of British Hairdressing Awards Men's Hairdresser of the Year, in 1996 and 2002.

Well versed in salon success with branches spread over London, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Essex, this opening will expand hob salons to a thirteen salon group with the addition of their state-of-the-art salon and training academy set to open this June in London's Camden Lock.
