David Horder, general manager of the popular bar and restaurant, is delighted to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a three course meal for four with a bottle of champagne and enjoy the new spring/summer menu, which was introduced at the beginning of May. There is also a runner-up prize of a three course meal for two with a bottle of wine.
New additions to the menu include pan-fried pigeon, pancetta and wild mushrooms (£5.50), four cheeses, roasted pear and rosemary fired pizza (£9), organic salmon, glass noodles, oriental lemongrass broth (£13.50), spit roast pork, sage mash, apple, pear and rosemary jelly (£12). Daily specials include scallops, risotto and market fish.
Summer puddings include a mouth-watering vanilla panacotta and summer berries (£4.50) and apple and rhubarb crumble and fresh custard (£5.25).
Take advantage of the warmer weather and enjoy a drink in their gardens overlooking the picturesque pond. A wide selection of beers, Continental lagers and wines by the glass are served by the friendly team behind the bar.
The Orange Tree, located at 7 Totteridge Village, Whetstone N20 8NX, is open from 12pm to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 10.30pm on Sunday. Food is served from 12pm every day. For reservations call 020 8343 7131 or visit The Orange Tree online.
